Client Policies

These general policies describe what clients can expect when working with Simply Prepared.

Consultations

Services begin with a consultation so Terry can understand your circumstances and recommend an appropriate level of support. A consultation is an opportunity to ask questions and decide whether Simply Prepared is a good fit for your family.

Scheduling

Appointments should be scheduled in advance. Clients may request a consultation through the website, by phone, or by email. Appointment availability may vary based on Terry’s schedule and the type of service requested.

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Clients are asked to provide at least 24 hours’ notice when canceling or rescheduling an appointment. At this time, Simply Prepared does not charge a cancellation fee, but repeated missed appointments or late cancellations may require a new consultation request before additional services are scheduled.

Payments

Payment methods may include cash, card, or other approved electronic payment options. Payment details and due dates will be discussed with the client before services begin. Any required deposit or initial payment must be received before the scheduled service when applicable.

Travel and Mileage

Simply Prepared serves Richmond, Virginia and surrounding areas. In-person services outside the standard local service area may be available upon request. Additional travel or mileage fees may apply and will be discussed with the client before the appointment is confirmed.

Client Participation

The process works best when clients participate. You are encouraged to gather the information you already have, share your priorities, and take part in decisions. Simply Prepared organizes and guides; the decisions remain yours.

Confidentiality

Personal information and conversations are treated with care and respect. Information is shared with family members or other professionals only when appropriate and with client permission, unless disclosure is required by law. Additional detail appears in the Privacy Notice.

Professional Limitations

Simply Prepared does not provide legal, medical, financial, insurance, funeral-directing, mental-health, hospice, or clinical services, and does not determine legal capacity or create legal authority documents.

Third-Party Professionals

When a situation calls for expertise outside our role, clients are encouraged to work with qualified providers. Simply Prepared may help identify potential resources, but clients are responsible for selecting and engaging any third-party professional.

Emergency Situations

Simply Prepared is not an emergency or crisis service and does not provide urgent medical, safety, or mental-health response. In an emergency, contact 911 or an appropriate emergency provider immediately.

Service Agreements

Detailed policies may also appear in individual service agreements. If there is a conflict between these website policies and a signed service agreement, the signed agreement controls.
